
No More Waiting for Your Towel to Warm Up
Ever stepped out of a shower into a chilly room and realized your towel rail is still cold? It’s the worst. Most heaters try to warm up the air around them first, which takes forever. We decided to skip that part. Instead of heating the air, we use short-wave infrared (SWIR). Think of it like the sun. You don’t wait for the air to get warm to feel the sun on your skin; you feel it the second you step outside. Our heaters do the exact same thing. They beam heat directly into the fabric and your skin. No waiting. Just instant warmth. The secret is in the light Inside each unit, there’s a high-powered tungsten filament tucked inside a quartz tube. This setup creates a specific kind of energy that actually cuts through moisture and fabric. While other systems just sit there humming, this one creates a quick spike in temperature. We’ve tuned these to be high-density, so you get that “luxury hotel” feeling in a few seconds, not ten minutes. Building it to last We use quartz glass for a reason. It can handle the wild jump in temperature between the glowing filament and the cold air of a bathroom without cracking. We also add a special coating to the glass. This keeps the heat focused and stops the humid, salty air of a locker room from eating away at the material. The wiring has to be spot on, too. We use tight, standardized connectors to make sure there’s no sparking. And because these things get hot—really hot—we designed the brackets to give the metal room to breathe and expand. If you cram too much power into a tiny box without that breathing room, things start to overheat. The trade-off Here’s the thing: short-wave heat is directional. It’s a beam, not a blanket. If you aren’t standing right in front of it, you won’t feel that same punch of heat. To fix that, we’ve spent a lot of time figuring out exactly how to arrange the rails. We traded that slow, ambient warmth for something much better: an immediate, intense hit of heat exactly where you need it.
